Jazz Band

MGS —

This term has started off with a bang for the Middleton Grange Jazz Band.

One of our biggest highlights was performing at the Jazz Show in the Grange Theatre. We all enjoyed the chance to perform in front of a large crowd and play an extensive set list, as well as being able to watch the MGS Masters. Another great opportunity for us was at the Principals Assembly. We were all pleased to hear that we had the chance to share our talents with our fellow students. The actual performance was incredibly fun as we were able to dance around and even dress up. The response from the students was fantastic and we would we welcome the opportunity to perform again in assembly. Lastly and most recently, The Jazz Band performed at JazzQuest at Ara. The crowd was very welcoming and as a band it was an exciting to experience a professional performance. We were pleased to not only receive a Silver Award for our performance but to receive some very constructive feedback which we  have happily taken to heart. The Jazz Band has been a great time for everyone involved. We are always able to enjoy the time we have practicing and performing and always have a good laugh. It is a great thing for students to be a part of and we look forward to more performance opportunities in the future.
