On Thursday the 23rd June...

...the Primary School classes celebrated Matariki. We split into groups with a class from the Year 5/6 Team, Year 3/4 Team and Year 1/2 Team in each group. Working with our buddies we began by preparing vegetables to make vegetable soup. Other activities included star fairy bread, chalk art, weaving, waiata, traditional games, and an assembly to share our learning, and thank God for the many good things we have. At lunchtime we all enjoyed a cup of hot soup that we had made. The day ended with a game outside following star clues. Thank you to the Teachers who put in lots of effort and to the Parents and Teacher Aides who helped in a variety of ways.
