On Wednesday 13th June...

...three chamber groups competed at The Piano in the regional NZCT Chamber Music competitions. The quartet performed a piece composed by Year 13 pupil Callum McKie. Callum tutored this group in preparation.

MGS Quartet: Cynthia Guo (Violin), Aya McLarty (Violin), Grace Langford (Cello), Tessen Kumagae (Piano)

MGS Trio 1: Grace Penno (Piano), Ruth Bakker (Flute), Sarah Duke (Cello)

MGS Trio 2: Grace Jeong (Cello), Elisa Bird (Clarinet), Callum McKie (Piano)

The groups had all done a lot of preparation and performed well. The adjudicators comments were very positive.
