Canterbury Championships 2022

The postponed Canterbury Athletics Championships were held in the first weekend of November and our school sent a team of 28 athletes.

Our team, made up mostly of Year 9 and 10 students, did very well. Our Under 14 Boys Relay team came first and missed out on breaking the Canterbury record by .55 of a second. Melenaite Havea won the Under 14 Girls Discus with a distance of 30.51m.

We gained 12 top three places and overall, our team achieved 39 top ten places. There were many other good results and we look forward to watching this young group of Athletes compete in the coming years.
