Discovery

MGS —

Discovery is an exciting event held every second Friday afternoon. During Discovery the children are... 

...free to develop their interests, thinking and problem solving skills by playing and experimenting with a wide range of materials and participating in varied activities. Discovery time is further enriched by the parents who come to help and talk with the children while they are engaged in discovering. 

So far this year we have worked around the themes of:

  • Creation - looking at God as our Creator and all the amazing things He has created in our world. Also how we are created to create. 
  • Easter
  • Mother's Day and Father's Day. 
  • Seasons, use of natural resources and how the seasons inspire our creative thinking. 
  • Things that move - linked to wheel day and creating machines. 
  • Praise - music and praising God. 
  • Maori art and creativity.

I love the variety of activities we can do. I always enjoy doing chalk art and messy crafts. Sara Buckley - Room 10
