2022 Ethics Olympiad Case Writing Competition

MGS —

Preet Bal, Year 11...

...recently took part in the first Case Writing Competition that Ethics Olympiad has run. Their mission is to promote the study of Philosophy and Ethics in schools. They were been buoyed by the quality and number of cases received from such a broad range of schools. They received entries from NSW, Tasmania, Victoria, North and South Island New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The quality was outstanding overall and they said the students should be proud with what has been achieved. The cases will provide a rich mix of possible cases in future Ethics Olympiads. They want thank the Ethics Centre and Humanity Matters NZ for their support and for making the prize money available.

Preet was awarded the Humanity Matters Prize for a NZ School ($100 AUD) for her writing on the "Disenfranchisement of Inmates". Congratulations Preet on your achievement.
