Our Y9-13 Athletics Day was held in week three, once again in glorious sunshine out on the school fields. We had everything from the 60m dash, gumboot throwing and all the traditional track and field events.

Levi Ferguson backed up his record breaking high jump efforts from last year, this time in the Senior Boys Category as he jumped 1.88m to set a new school record, while Mark Agnew ran the Senior Boys 200m quicker than anyone before in a time of 23.29 to also set a new school record.

A great day had by all, and a big thanks to Mrs Lilburne and the Sports Monitors for making the day go so smoothly.

Our top athletes will now head to the Canterbury Champs which take place on Tuesday 16 and Saturday 20 March at Nga Puna Wai.
