Kapa Haka...

...got off to a rocky start this year; however, we managed to pull through at the 2022 Tūhono Festival with everyone smiling and singing in the Waiata Tira and Waiata Āringa and everyone going kōtahi rau (100%) in the haka. We were all hyped when we earnt best youth guitarist, 2nd Waiata Tira, and 1st Haka, but nothing could compare to our reactions when we got 1st Overall. I’m so proud of everyone’s efforts, especially those of our leaders, Brooke Taane, Neo Caughtry, and Joshua Bedggood, who put in a lot of hard work this year. Also big thanks to Matua Steve, who gave up his time teaching and directing the rōpu.
