Our school team of Maddie Bakker, Ethan Bennetts, Mackenzie Hoskins and Izzy Stedman did us proud at the Christchurch Competition held at the Upper Riccarton Library earlier this month. The team had to read six books in preparation for this event, and then work as a team to answer six questions on each book - at 30 seconds per question! Our final score put us at exactly middle of the 9-team competition. Well done! A special thank-you to Izzy who came into the team at short notice, filling in for Michael Phillipps who represented us at Southern Jam. Michael had done a lot of the reading for the competition; and Izzy sped-read her way through the books to fill his shoes.
