1) From the Acting Principal
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whanau,
It’s so good to be back at school after spending 10 days in South Korea meeting with prospective students and their families to the school. The trip also presented the opportunity to reconnect with some of our alumni who still remember very fondly their time at Middleton Grange School. Colleen Steyn, our International College Director has been doing the same in Japan. It is great to have been able to reconnect with the global world once again and we are blessed to have such an amazing teaching staff and International College team who support our international students so well.
Please continue to pray for the school as we start the process of farewelling some of our current students but also start the transition process of welcoming our new students who will be commencing in 2024.

Blessings

Acting Principal
2) Deputy Principal – Head of Senior College
As many of you will know Mrs Ruth Velluppillai our current Deputy Principal – Head of Senior College will be leaving Middleton Grange School at the end of 2023. Mrs Velluppillai has been on the teaching staff for 20 years and before that her children and she herself, were students at the school. We wish Mrs Velluppillai the Lord’s blessing for the next season of her life.
It is with real pleasure that I now announce that after a long and robust process the appointment panel have unanimously endorsed Mr Shane McConnell as the next Deputy Principal Senior College. Mr McConnell has been at the school since 2013 and during this time has had roles as Curriculum Leader English, Senior Boys’ Dean, and more recently Assistant Head of Senior College. Mr McConnell will commence the DP – Head of Senior College role at the beginning of 2024.
We extend our congratulations to Mr McConnell and would ask that you join with us in committing to support him in prayer as he undertakes this new role.

6) Uniform Shop Updates
As you may be aware, our knitwear supplier is a New Zealand company, based in Auckland. During the cyclone earlier this year, their factory was severely flooded. Most of their stock and machinery were destroyed and they have indicated that waiting on replacement equipment and textiles is why they are experiencing such long delays.
We have been doing all we can to stay in communication with them, continuing to stress the urgency for our stocks arrival. After speaking with our Remar representative again this week, she has given the following dates for our orders;
Most jerseys and scarves are scheduled for completion and are due to arrive to us by Monday 3rd November.
All Cardigans and size 77/30 jerseys are scheduled for completion and are due to arrive to us by Monday 13th of November.
We will be in contact with everyone that has a knitwear product on order as soon as they arrive in store.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. We are truly sorry for the very lengthy delay and inconvenience.
Blessings,
Lauren & Emmy
