We entered a team in the...

...Canterbury-wide competition, which is in its fifth year. Interestingly, we ended up with six team members for the five places; last year I could not drum up enough interest for a basic team of four! Unfortunately, Isabella drew the short straw and was not able to be involved on the night, but she graciously turned up to support her team. Thanks to all the parents, but especially to Isabella’s Mum who was happy to bring her along.

All the participants were extremely focused and read and digested a variety of books in readiness for this competition.

Unfortunately, on the evening of the competition, I was ‘isolating’ at home, and unable to attend. Thanks to Ms Goddard, who filled in for me! The team began strongly but were not able maintain their earlier high scores for all of the books. However, they were great ambassadors for Middleton Grange. I was proud of them all, and their enjoyment was evident from start to finish. Well done!
