Rongopai writes:

This scholarship will help me to make the right choices and give me the best opportunities to get to where I want to be, to fulfill my dreams.
I believe it is important to use our gifts and talents for the betterment of ourselves and others and the world in which we live.  The future I hope for includes opportunities to inspire others in the theatres of inspirational drama, in film and television. I feel like I was born to act, sing and dance and my dream is to become a professional performer. I am passionate about life and I am interested in people and how they think and feel. I see acting and film as a wonderful and potent medium to express myself and my interest in my culture and that of others.
I am also interested in indigenous rights and hope this will lead me into a career in law. I know that the skills gained in an acting career will help me in law and give me the life experience and wisdom I need to support my people.

Aidan Mansfield leaver 2016) achieved the highest mark ever (a high distinction) in the Logos programme at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, where he has subsequently been invited to apply for early entry.

Here is what Aidan wrote about this opportunity at the end of last year:

One week before Term 3 ended I got a scholarship worth $600 to participate in the Logos for Schools Programme at the University of Notre Dame in Sydney. This programme involves off campus preliminary study, a two-week intensive on campus and finally a set of essays corresponding to the on-campus work. The two-week intensive starts on the 8th of December and goes until the 16th. The first week will focus on Philosophy and the second week will focus on Christian ethics.
Once completed, the course counts towards two modules in my later Philosophy and Theology degree. I'm essentially doing university work while I'm still at school.
