...53 keen Year 11 pupils gave up their own time to participate in a two-day leadership training programme. Despite the stifling heat, our wonderful pupils engaged enthusiastically in all manner of games and activities in preparation for the 2018 Peer Support programme. They learnt some important lessons about leadership, particularly when their Teacher Leaders demonstrated what NOT to do! Pupils went away well-equipped with an arsenal of games and a lot of fun was had by all. However, Peer Support is not just about having fun. This important programme provides advice and guidance for our Year 7 pupils as they transition into Middle School, and gives them some older pupils they can connect with in a really positive way. Now, as Year 12 Peer Support Leaders, pupils are running this mentoring programme with the Y7s throughout Term One. Every year, our Year 7 pupils rate Peer Support in glowing terms and we look forward to another successful year ahead.
