Rock Night 2020

MGS —

Rock Night 2020 was one of New Zealand’s biggest rock concerts this year - it was hot. But despite the air conditioning not working it was still a great night. Bands from all around the school took to the stage with a refreshingly healthy dose of drums, bass, and electric guitar. With limited performance opportunities this year, Rock Night was extra special to students, and bands who enjoyed playing to the sell-out 100 person crowd - a great audience, who connected with performers and graciously laughed at the Emcees’ bad jokes (thanks for that). The night featured wonderful music with bands performing songs by Stevie Wonder, Muse, and more - not forgetting some impressive originals. Harmonica, trumpet, and music teachers jumping around on stage all featured, with the teacher’s band Tank Baby ending the night on a high note. Thank you to the music staff, students, and the mighty tech crew for their hard work in putting this fun night together.
