Creatives Lab
The purpose of the day...
...was to engage our creatively talented pupils into thinking bigger, thinking Kingdom, thinking influence with their gifts – to create an awareness that their creative talents can afford them a voice in our nation to influence the arts/media/entertainment spheres.
Our guest speakers, Wayne and Libby were founding members of NZ Parachute Band and have a long list of national and international awards, experience and skill sets. From production, sound, lighting to performance, bands, writing, worship… – they inspired, blessed and equipped our pupils with some gold nuggets of wisdom, understanding and knowledge.
In the morning the Centre for Leadership Development and Influence hosted 56 Year 7–13 pupils who teachers identified as being especially talented in the creative arena. Throughout the remainder of the day, our Year 12 Maori class, Tech Team, Radio Team, pupils involved in Worship teams and any pupils wanting to understand worship more, were afforded the opportunity in various periods to glean from these two incredible guests.
Creatives Lab was tremendously successful with both our pupils and our guest speakers lauding its value and impact that it had on lives.
