Middle School Ethics Olympiad 2023

...we had 13 students in our Ethics Olympiad group and they participated as two teams in the South Island competition. We had two returning group members, Gabriella d’Auvergine and Ethan McConnell, however, most were new to the Olympiad this year. The students enjoyed reading the cases and discussing their own ethical views of the issues. In the competition they structured their discussion points well, examined various ethical points-of-view and articulately explained their ethical view, based on a biblical view. While neither team placed in the top three this year, both teams were given honourable mentions for the way that they conducted themselves throughout the competition. All 13 students are to be congratulated for their commitment, enthusiasm and effort; well done!
