Te Haerenga Camps

...boys and girls Te Haerenga classes have just finished their camp and Solo night at Boyle River Lodge near the St James walkway. It was full of fun and challenging experiences. The Lodge Instructors, with a staff member, took groups of 10 into the outdoors to challenge and grow the students through the activities. The general feedback from the students was that it was an awesome time. Doing the overnight Solo proved to be a real winner, with a lot of students really enjoying the challenge of being by themselves. It was also a time to reflect and think through what they had learned during the year as well as writing a letter to their ‘year 13 self’ which they will receive at the beginning of their Year 13 year.
