Raya, Lucas, Alexis, Gabriella, Dylan, William
Congratulations to Raya Stuart (Year 5) for her achievement in the Releve Dance Competition earlier this term. Raya achieved 3rd in Classical, 2nd in Classical Barefoot, 2nd in Jazz and 3rd in Classical Championship Under 12.
Lucas Bennetts (Year 12) received his PACANZ Nomination in Tap Dancing over the weekend. Lucas will compete in October at the National Young Performer Awards held in Palmerston North.
Congratulations to Alexis d'Auvergne (Year 7) and Gabriella d'Auvergne (Year 11) who have been achieving great results in gymnastics. Both girls competed in the King’s Birthday Invitational Gymnastics Competition, at Christchurch School of Gymnastics (with clubs from around the South Island).
Alexis competed in Step 5 and achieved the following results:

Dylan Baxter (Year 8) started Jiu Jitsu 14 months ago. In this time, he has achieved 11 medals, 5 Golds, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze in the South Island Champs competitions. Dylan is currently preparing for the Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro 4 Star Event in Auckland in August, where he will be competing against people who travel the world to compete in this competition.
He is extremely passionate about his sport and trains three days per week with a total of seven hours in these days. He rolls with Matua Pai on the adults only nights and enjoys sharing his passion of the sport with him.
Great news! Former student William Stedman won GOLD at the Para Athletics World
Championships in the T36 Men's 400m in May. (To add to his bronze and
silver's previously).
