Fridge Trip to Auckland

...had the opportunity to go to Rhema Media's headquarters in Auckland to look around their studios and meet some of the people there. It was such a valuable experience for the students to gain an understanding of everything that goes behind a corporate radio station and to learn more about something they are passionate about. 

Rhema Media runs 3 Christian radio stations, Life FM, Rhema, Star, and also Shine TV. The students were able to look around and learn more about areas they were interested in and ask many questions. They even got to join some of the announcers on their breakfast shifts, and experience a mock interview on Shine TV! Everyone there was so friendly and generous with their time, being more than happy to explain their job and include us in what they do. 

Overall, the trip was so impactful and inspiring and has given us lots of new ideas and many things to think about. Everyone left with hearts full and brains fizzing with ideas. We are so grateful to Radio Rhema for their generosity with the trip and their ongoing support of The Fridge radio station.
