Year 3 & 4 Beach Trip

...team visited the beach at Spencer Park for 'Save the Sand Dunes' learning through action activity. 

We learnt how sand dunes are formed and built a simple dune system. We learnt to identify the three main causes of erosion and about flora and fauna living in coastal environments.

We also learnt why the dunes are important and ways we can protect dune ecosystems.

It was a fabulous trip full of learning, and enjoying the beach.

It linked to our Topic this term which has been :Young Ocean Explorers.
