Alumni Newsletter #4 – June 2023

MGSJune 8, 2023

Welcome to our 4th MGS Alumni Newsletter and our first for 2023. Welcome also to Annelise Oosterbaan (nee Vannoort) who has taken over as the Alumni Coordinator from Yolandy Stander, who has resumed her full-time role in the Middleton Grange International College. Thank you Yolandy for the wonderful work you have done to date, and we look forward to our alumni going from strength to strength over the coming years.

It’s great to be able to continue connecting with past and current staff and students at Middleton Grange School and to hear their stories, discover how God is working in their lives, and to find out what they are doing now. In this newsletter, we have been able to connect with more MGS Alumni from around the world, so I hope you enjoy reading it, and please keep in touch with us so we can continue to grow our alumni network.

Watch this space for information coming out later this year about the Middleton 60th Anniversary celebrations which will be happening in October 2024 (DV). This will provide a great opportunity for past and present staff and students to re-connect and share some of their memories of their time at Middleton.

Middleton Grange is about growing and nurturing young people to love and follow Jesus Christ, whilst also providing them with a first-rate Christian education. Middleton is also about community; living together and learning together as God’s children, and then learning to serve others and God by using our gifts and talents for His glory.

Below is a photo of myself when I first attended Middleton as a student in 1966, and I am pleased to say that I still have my school cap (minus the button on top) and it now sits proudly on my side table in my office. Below that is a photo of my family including my grandson who may be coming to Middleton next year – and so the generations continue to be blessed by God through the work being done at Middleton Grange School.
