Hi! I’m Katie Lagatule, 33 and transitioned from Hillview Christian School to Middleton Grange in 2006.
I must admit, I wasn’t the best student! But looking back on the school values, the teachers' integrity, character and precious wisdom - this has helped shaped myself and my family throughout the years.
Since leaving Middleton, my husband Beau and I moved to Melbourne, Australia. Four months in with two children at the age of 20, we found Jesus in a local church and built our foundation in Him. We got married, then Youth Pastored for several years whilst having another three beautiful children over time.
We have currently been married for 13 years, own our own business, and have helped pioneer Glow Church here in Melbourne for the past five years. We have our hands in a few areas - worship team, pastoral care, creative team and are Elders, but the best part of our journey is seeing our children grow in knowing who God is.
He restored and healed a lot of broken areas in our past, but knowing that He is a good God changes everything as we depend on Him.
Amongst your everyday, there is still a God-given calling on your life where He wants to empower you into the fullness of who He is. Despite any challenges whilst studying, how inwardly you may feel or how wild things may get in the natural, remember - don’t think that the things you go through is a witness to your insignificance or the absence of His love for you.
Remain in Him. Trust in Him. Steward your studies well and know that your greatest days ahead of you are attracted to your diligence and faith now. There is purpose on your name!!
