Christchurch Orchestra Festival

...the Middleton Grange Senior Orchestra went to The Aurora Centre to participate in the Christchurch Orchestra Festival. We played four pieces on stage, then we had an hour workshop with the conductor of the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, Vincent Hardaker. On stage the orchestra performed to a very high level and during the workshop, the conductor was able to push them even further. The result was the orchestra played the pieces to an even higher level.

Mr Walker and Mrs Foster are so proud of our Senior Orchestra. They are wonderful young musicians who faithfully meet every Friday lunchtime to practise.

At the Festival, Middleton Grange Senior Orchestra won the Bronze Award, a very high honour indeed, especially considering the many orchestras city-wide who participated.
