Matariki
Stars glowing in the night sky
Trees dancing to the wind
Crickets chirping to the birds
Fresh air with hints of grass wafting
Wet damp grass with dew
Ahh, Matariki I say.

Gloomy dark clouds in the fresh air
Trees rustling
Waves bumping in their ocean bed 
Wavy grass under me
Moon twinkling in the middle of the stars
Watching moreporks flying over top of me.

Matariki 
My warm fluffy hat is heating me as I lie on the outside couch. Sparkling stars shining like glow worms in the sky. Dewy soft grass tickling my back. The smokey air wafts from other people's fires. The cold wind blows gracefully as I think about Matariki.
