What an amazing response we had to our Give a Kid a Blanket day!

Thank you to everyone who contributed with either a blanket or pyjamas, or both. As you can see from the photos, we almost covered the whole of the stage! What a great effort. They have all been collected and will be handed out to children in need by the amazing organisation of Give a Kid a Blanket.

An incredible outpouring of kindness and care today from the students and community of Milford Primary School. Yesterday students could wear their pyjamas or mufti to school and were asked to bring a donation for Give a Kid a Blanket. The result was this amazing collection which filled the van completely. Special thanks to student Grace who initiated this involvement and Principal Sue Cattell for mustering the school communities support. Sue has already committed on behalf of the school to supporting out winter 2020 collection. The schools motto is 'Empowered to Learn and Achieve'. While being part of the donating adds the schools own learners wider awareness of community need, their action of kindness will mean a warmer and better sleep for many other children, which in turn will make it easier for them to learn and achieve in their school day and life.
