SPORTS/KAPA HAKA INTEREST FOR 2020
At Milford School, we have a variety of sports available for our students as they progress through the school. At times, there are limited spaces or team entries, which may result in trials being held, though where possible, we like to include every interested person.
The school website is a great reference for specific sporting information, local clubs information, and also the Milford School Sports Overview 2020, which is located on the Sports page of the website . Please refer to the above sports overview for anticipated dates.
Please click on the link for your child's year level to indicate the sports that they may wish to be part of in 2020 and complete it before 7th February. Please note that this is to register their interest so that we have a list of students to contact directly and is not the official registration for each sport. Netball details will come out to families separately, either in the newsletter or from Mrs Vane. We have some sports that commence in Week 3 this year and some organisers want to know this week how many teams we want to enter so if you complete this form early, it makes the team formation a lot smoother. As always, parental assistance for coaching and managing is always appreciated so please indicate this on the forms below:
BASKETBALL CLOSES TODAY!
A reminder that Basketball registration for Semester 1 closes TODAY so payment must be made by 3.30pm today (Friday 7th February) or a date arranged for payment with Mrs Lavulo. Basketball singlets can be purchased from NZ Uniform website or you can go in-store to NZ Uniforms 19 A Douglas Alexander Parade, Albany. If Basketball trials are necessary, I will be in contact early next week about them. Basketball for the Junior Breakers module commences the week of 17th February 2020 and the Harbour Basketball module at Eventfinda Stadium on Tuesdays will commence on Tuesday 3rd March 2020.
FLIPPA BALL CLOSES TODAY!
A reminder that Flippa Ball registration for Semester 1 closes TODAY so payment must be made by 3.30pm today (Friday 7th February) or a date arranged for payment with Mrs Lavulo. Flippa Ball trials will be held on Monday, 10 February at lunchtime for all paid players. Please ensure your child brings their swimmng gear to school on Monday. Flippa Ball commences on 22nd February 2020.
YEAR 4-6 KAPA HAKA
Our Milford School Kapa Haka rōpu (group) is getting underway next week with a busy term as we prepare for a pōwhiri in March. Kapa Haka will now be held from 8.30am on Thursday mornings before school in the Hall instead of the previous time on a Friday. Students who wish to partake will need to be committed to ensure that our rōpu is strong going forwards. Please complete this google form so that I have contact details to send you information and resources for your tamariki (child).
