Principal's Message

Sue Cattell —

Kia ora whānau. Once again thank you for sending those gold coins to school with your children today. While we are still counting today’s money, the last non-uniform day raised $750 for our new playground. If we get the same today and in two weeks time, we will have almost reached our target for the new playground!

The Year 4-6 athletics day on Tuesday was a really well-run event with children saying how much fun they had. It was great to see students push themselves to do events that were new to them. Thank you to the amazing parents who gave up their time to help on the day, we really needed you! A big thank you also to Danielle Nicholson and Scott Polkinghorne for their organisation of the day.

I know some of you are wondering about next year and which teachers will be in each year level. At this stage we are not able to confirm that as, while we have a draft plan, things do change. The system we use to place the children for the following year, Pluto, will put them into balanced classrooms so the teacher’s name isn’t needed. Information on your child’s placement will come home in the last week of the term and they will have time that week in their new classroom with their 2023 teacher and classmates.

The final year level assembly for the year will be held next Friday, 25 November at 2.15pm. This will be led by the Year 6 team and all parents are warmly invited.

Have a great weekend!

Ngā manaakitanga
