On Monday, the Hive were lucky enough to have a visit from Zane Kelsall, who came in to show the children how to make bread. Below are some stories written by the students, about their experience.

On Monday my dad, Zane came to the Hive. He let us taste the delicious sourdough. Lev Kelsall

On Monday Zane taught us how to make bread. We needed dough, a little bit of red wine, an oven and a refrigerator. It tasted fantastic. I liked the smell of the bread. I was very curious why the bread rose up but then Zane taught us why it rose up.Aaron Jeon

On Monday Zane showed us how to make delicious bread. I looked at it, it was lovely looking. He showed us the steps. I watched him as he folded the bread. He let us eat some of the bread, it was delicious. I loved the bread, it was very chewy, yum!Sophia Jenkins

On Monday 26th August, Zane visited Milford School. Zane is Lev's dad. He made sourdough bread. It tasted delicious. When you cook it, it rises and gets air bubbles.Reuben Frith

On Monday 26th, Lev’s dad came to the Hive to teach us how to make bread. We got to smell the dough. We ate the sourdough bread. He puts the dough into the starter, if you look inside it has air bubbles. The bread was big and for the bread to cook you need to turn the oven to 260 degrees. I loved the bread. Leo Giordani
