As part of our Unit of Inquiry, How the World Works, through which we are exploring sound and hearing, Room 19 students have been learning to use onomatopoeia: words that sound like the sound they are describing. After reading Dr Seuss's book, 'Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?', children brainstormed the sounds they might hear in different contexts, then wrote a poem, following the style of Dr Seuss's book.
