Exploring the PYP: Parent Information Evening & Upcoming Evaluation Visit
Parent Information Evening - Tuesday 20 May, 6pm
At Milford School, we are proud to be an IB World School, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) to provide our students with an inquiry-based, internationally-minded education. The PYP focuses on developing active, lifelong learners who think critically, ask questions, and make meaningful connections between their learning and the world around them.
To help you gain a deeper understanding of the PYP and how it supports your child’s learning, we warmly invite you to our PYP Parent Information Evening on Tuesday, 20 May, at 6:00 pm. This session will provide insights into how students learn through inquiry and how you can support your child’s learning at home. It will also be a great opportunity to ask any questions and connect with other parents in our school community.
Additionally, we are preparing for our PYP Evaluation Visit, which will take place in June. This visit is an essential part of our journey as an IB World School, ensuring that we continue to meet the high standards of the IB and provide the best possible learning experiences for our students. The evaluation team will engage with staff, students, and parents to gain a full picture of how the PYP is implemented at our school.
If you would like to be part of a small group of parents who speak with our Evaluation team about your child's learning and growth at Milford School, please email sara.baker@milford.school.nz I'm happy to tell you more about this quite informal chat, and give you more information about content.
We look forward to seeing you at the Parent Information Evening and sharing more about our PYP journey. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out.
