What a fabulous week our students have had exploring all things Literacy this week.

On Monday, the Year 5-6 teams were visited by author Stu Duval who shared lots of tips on story writing. It was great to see so many children excited and engaged in the process of writing.  

On Tuesday, the Year 0-2 teams were visited by author Sally Sutton, and on Wednesday, the Year 3-4 teams were lucky enough to hear from author Peter Millet who had them all in fits of laughter.

The children had fun listening to stories from our guest readers in the library during lunch times, along with activities organised by the student librarians. The children loved the book swap on Wednesday and our very exciting Book Character Parade on Thursday. On Friday afternoon there was an informal Lit quiz held in the hall, one for years 3-4 and one for years 5-6. 

Overall the students and staff have had a great week and hopefully picked up a few 'tips of the trade' from their visiting authors.
