Maths Week 2024: A Week of Discovery and Fun!
Our school was abuzz with excitement as we celebrated Maths Week! Each day, our students eagerly participated in a variety of maths challenges designed to engage their curiosity and critical thinking.
From estimating the number of items in a jar to exploring the maths in our everyday surroundings, students discovered that maths is everywhere! Some were tasked with finding examples of tessellation, identifying repeating patterns, spotting parallel lines, and recognising different shapes around the school. These challenges not only reinforced their understanding of key mathematical concepts but also showed them how maths connects to the world around us.
It was so inspiring to see them apply their learning in such creative and hands on ways. Whether counting objects or spotting patterns, our students showed that maths is not just about numbers—it's about exploring, estimating, discovering, and having fun!
We are so proud of all the students for their participation and the enthusiasm they brought to Maths Week!
