Make the most of this beautiful weather and encourage your children to Walk, Bike or Scooter to school!

Here are 10 great reasons to walk to school together:

1. It’s fun
2. It’s healthy
3. It’s non-polluting
4. It’s friendly
5. It reduces stress
6. It’s a chance to teach and learn road safety skills
7. It’s considerate
8. It’s educational
9. It’s free – no petrol money
10. It makes the street outside the school safe

MILFORD SCHOOL WALKING SCHOOL BUS ROUTES

We currently have 2 walking school buses in operation, and are desperately looking for new parents to share the walk with existing bus routes or taking on new ones.

Our current routes:

From Dallinghoe Crescent, along Wolsely, East Coast Road and then along Shakespeare.

And;

From Brook Street, Along Shakespeare Road.

If you feel you are able to walk a small group of children, even if only one morning or afternoon a week I would love to hear from you.

Better still, talk to your neighbours and organise for a group of parents to take turns to walk to school. You will have peace of mind knowing that your child is getting to school safely and it is a great way to get to know your neighbours!
