Sea Week: 6-14 March

Next Saturday is the start of NZ Sea Week, which ties in nicely with our Young Ocean Explorers 21-Day Challenge. There are loads of activities happening around the country for this annual event.

Coming up on Saturday 6th is an event hosted by EMR - Experiencing Marine Reserves: Takapuna Snorkel Day

When: Saturday 6th March, 11am - 4pm
Where: Takapuna boat ramp - end of Promenade Rd

There is already a lot of interest, so don't miss out. 

Cost: Koha donation appreciated

Details: Explore the waters of Takapuna by snorkel. Find spotties, parore, goatfish and nudibranchs. Fun for the whole whanau! Bring your own gear or get free hire of mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuits. Recommended for everyone 5 years and up. All children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult beach observer. 

Experienced guides and advanced safety procedures will be in place on the day. There are competitions too, so check out their Facebook page for the latest information.
