MUSIC NEWS

Eugenie Middleton —

On Monday, the Year 6 Xylophone group went to play at TNIS in their assembly. We left school at 8am, and were there in time to play at 8.45. The group played three songs all from memory in 3 parts, and were absolutely superb. They looked very professional, changed xylophones for each song and their behaviour was exceptional. What a principled group of talented students! They really showed that we were a wonderful PYP school as they positively showcased all the learner profile attributes!

I was a very proud music teacher and the staff at TNIS were really impressed!

"I've had lots of positive feedback from staff and SLT. Folks loved hearing the sun shine. We also enjoyed hosting parents and making those community connections." Dan Sperber (TNIS Music specialist).

This is the second event with the TNIS music department so far, and we are excited to be collaborating on more events throughout the year. Watch this space! It is a very authentic and valuable way to connect with other schools in our community and helps strengthen the transitions between Milford School and TNIS.
