Year 3 has been inquiring into the responsibilities people have in practicing sustainability, so that resources are available to all living things. This has been done through our most recent unit of inquiry on Sharing The Planet. Concepts explored during this unit included: form (what our local whenua and marine ecosystem is like), causation (why is it like this), and responsibility (the action I can take to look after it). In this case, our Year 3 students taught other students across the school about the sustainable practices they can take part in to look after our local whenua.
