Resilience Project Report - Room 9

Jessica Vader —

In Room 9 we have been working on The Resilience Project each week. This week we did an activity where we discussed what it means to fill someone's invisible "bucket" (say or do something nice) or to dip into another's "bucket" (say or do something unkind).

This is what Maddison and Jake have to say about the exercise we did:

We made an envelope that we decorated and put our name on in a cool way. Next, we wrote a compliment or something that we're grateful for about the other person. Some of the "bucket fillers" we received in our class were:

"You are the best"
"I like how smart you are"
"You are so so kind to me"
"I like the way you tell jokes"
"You are kind and thoughtful"

We felt energised and confident after doing this activity. You can be a bucket filler too by trying to pay good things forward and by smiling at others.
