Kaitlyn and Fatimah came to share their connected learning with me last week. The Year 0 and 1 Unit of Inquiry with the trans-disciplinary theme of Sharing the Planet meant they had been inquiring into the sharing of finite resources between humans and other living things. The children had talked about what humans and other living things need to survive, and during play based learning, Kaitlyn and Fatimah had made a bird's shelter/nest with everything a bird would need to live comfortably. There was a nest, water to drink and a place for the bird food. What great inquirers they are, thinking about making connections in their learning and their play! Awesome learning, girls!
