MUSIC LESSONS IN BOOK WEEK!

Eugenie Middleton —

This week all the specialist teachers have included some activities that linked in with Book Week - this is our aim as a PYP school - to be as transdisciplinary as we can! It is amazing!

In music we:

  • Added melodies to rhyming books
  • Played story book evolution game
  • Made letters with our bodies in movement activities (see photos)
  • Played words using the notes on the wooden xylophones
  • Sang songs related to stories - here are the links to Library Song, Lost Boy and the Maori alphabet song: A Ha Ka Ma Na
  • Played the ukulele to Lost Boy.

It was a wonderful week and so inspiring to be a part of. Here are some of the photos of the children's movement activity where they made letters with their bodies - aren't they clever!
