100 Days of school

Beverley Smith —

Thankfully we have had no interruptions or lockdowns this year, so this week we celebrated being at school for 100 days. Rooms 14, 15, 16 and 17 students brought 100 units of a chosen item to show and share with their class. We also made headbands and wore them proudly throughout the day to show that we are 100 days smarter.

We've been learning to count forwards to 100, and then backwards again from 100 to 0. We also investigated how much of something we could do in 100 seconds, eg. How many star jumps can you do in 100 seconds? How many times can you write your name in 100 seconds? How many times can you hop on 1 leg in 100 seconds? We soon learned that for some things, 100 seconds went by too quickly, and for other things, 100 seconds felt like a very long time
