Gardening Club News

Jillian Sommers and Ellen von Collas —

Our Gardening club is proving popular this term with a record number of children attending. Last week we weeded, planted flowers in the butterfly garden, and peas and beans in our vegetable garden. Yesterday we harvested some cauliflower, carrots, broad beans and cherry tomatoes which we enjoyed dipped in hummus.

With this many children attending we would really appreciate some parent help, from 12.30-1.30 on Thursday lunchtimes. Please contact Jillian Sommers or Ellen von Collas if you are interested in helping out.

Special thanks to the Choi family for donating two big bags of quail manure for our compost.

We are looking forward to the Summer Daze Fair where Gardening Club will have swan plants to buy, so you can support survival of our vital pollinators, the monarch butterfly.
