PYP EXHIBITION!!!

Sara Baker —

Wow, what an amazing demonstration of Year 6 student learning we have had over the last few weeks, culminating in the fantastic Exhibition on Thursday afternoon! We are so proud of our open-minded, risk-taking, principled and knowledgeable Inquirers! They collaborated and communicated to present their findings and to decide on an Action to assist in addressing the issues in our world.

Since the second lockdown ended, our students and teachers have been hard at work, inquiring into local and global issues under the transdisciplinary theme of Sharing the Planet. Each student was able to explore and then choose a Central Idea, and then in groups, collaborate to write their own lines of inquiry, meaning that they inquired into something they are passionate about. Their reflections on what kind of action they could take showed real maturity and commitment to their chosen causes.

Thank you to all the Milford School staff who mentored our learners, meeting with them often to check in, offer assistance and ensure everything was on track. Thank you to the parents who assisted, encouraged and supported their children, and came to school to view the amazing presentations. Special thanks to Ms Boyd, Mrs Magaraggia, Mr Polkinghorne and Miss Han.We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 team, the Exhibition has been a meaningful and passion-filled journey into learning!

Please enjoy the photos.
