Room 15 was very excited about going to the Auckland Zoo. We have been inquiring into how human needs impact humankind and the environment. We had a lesson in the Education Centre around sustainability and looked at what animals at the zoo need to survive.

We also decided to visit the elephants as they will soon be leaving Auckland zoo to join other elephants in Australia. The zoo keeper told us that the elephants are going to go in an aeroplane and that they are going to live with other elephants which is exciting for them but sad for us. We have a wonderful day at the zoo with lots of learning and can't wait to go to the zoo again!
