Rippa Rugby Tournament

Danielle Nicholson —

On Thursday the 2nd of June, almost 60 children attended the Rippa Rugby tournament held at Onewa Domain. The children, parents and teacher braced themselves for a wet, muddy day. Our students demonstrated sportsmanship and most were so keen to continue playing despite the yucky weather! Our next tournament is on the 4th of August.

Here are some comments from some of the students involved:

Giselle - "The day was cold, freezing and wet"
Harry - "The day was fun, wet and slippery, I loved it"
Hayden - "A little bit too easy because the opposition was still learning"
Logan - "It was a muddy day and I liked it!"
Ryder G - "It was like a slide!! "
Alex J- "There was thunder!! It was awesome."
Alice - "It was so exciting"
Chaz - "The day was muddy, fun and yummy because I had good food!"
Jacob K - "An opportunity!!!!"
Zac W- "It was wet but really fun and we won all our games!"
Josh H- "It was wet, fun and unbeatable!"
Leah - "I didn’t like the rain! It was so wet!"

Thank you so much to all of the amazing parents who helped with coaching, managing, transporting and supervising!
