Wellbeing club

Jessica Vader —

The club was formed by Mrs Vader and meets on Tuesday lunchtimes in Room 13 and is made up of Year 3 and 4 students. The aim of the group is learn more about how to look after ourselves and others.

In the Wellbeing club in Term 2 we have learnt about yoga, hot chocolate breathing and mindfulness colouring. We learnt how to do hot chocolate breathing and the strategies we have learnt in Wellbeing club have made us much calmer when we are angry, sad or hurt. We had Madeleine Waldegrave, a real yoga teacher come and give us a yoga lesson and we loved it!

Some of our thoughts on Wellbeing club/quotes:

I hurt myself on the leg and it was really sore so I cried until I was crazy then my mum came and I did the Hot Chocolate Breath and it was less painful! (Esther)
When my little brother broke the things that I made, I was very angry, so I did ten long breaths and then I was fine.(Ella)
I was really angry at my sister and then I started to do the Hot Chocolate breathing and I felt much better! (Holly)
I taught my other friends how to do the Hot Chocolate breathing so they could use it too. (Xanthe)
Wellbeing club teaches you how to care for yourself and others -(Mackenzie)

Wellbeing club is an awesome place to be!
