This week in Room 16, we have been talking about the importance of washing or sanitising our hands regularly and carefully. We used bread to help us see what would happen if we didn't do this. We used one slice of bread and left it untouched - this was the control. The second slice was handled by children who had sanitised their hands. The third slice was handled by children who had washed their hands with water only in the bathroom, and the fourth slice was handled by children who had not washed their hands at all. Here are photos of the results. We learned that it is very important to wash our hands often and thoroughly.
