Ko wai koe?

Ellen von Collas —

We use this te reo Māori phrase to ask 'Who are you?', to which we respond with our name. In Year 3 we are discovering that we are so much more than our names. It has been a great start to the year, getting to know each other and making connections with the other children in our classes. One of the ways we did this was by playing the 'Me Too!' string game where children shout out 'Me too!' when they connect with someone else's shared interests or life experiences. Look at the photos to see how everyone is connected in some way. Through sharing our personality bags we've been getting to know each other and make even more connections as children share what they value or what they enjoy. "I like being back at school." "Me too!"
