2021 Last of the Proms

Paula Snowball —

The Milford School Dance Group were very fortunate to have the opportunity to dance at the recent production, Last Night of the Proms, held at the Bruce Mason Centre. This year was a celebration of the Auckland Symphony Orchestra’s 20th anniversary of this annual tribute, and included legendary NZ vocalists Simon O’Neill and Suzanne Lynch, along with the Harbour Voices choir.

Our dancers worked extremely hard over many weeks to produce a very polished and professional performance. They had an incredible time and were a credit to themselves and Milford School. It will certainly be a memory they will treasure for years to come.

Last Friday and Saturday nights, twelve Milford School students performed with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra, at the ‘Last Night at the Proms’ concert held at the Bruce Mason Theatre.
The students danced to two of the items and appeared on stage throughout the evening's concert.
Student, Esther Choi said that she really enjoyed the finale when all of the streamers and balloons filled the theatre along with lots of clapping.
