Conservation Club Report

Nicole Brown —

This week was our last of the term for Conservation Club. Here is a shot of our Kiwi guardians doing the annual NZ Garden Bird Survey this week with our nature journals that we made earlier this term. We selected the field as our survey location and found a comfortable spot to look and listen for birds for one hour. Then, we recorded the highest number of each species observed, and submitted our results. The NZ Garden Bird Survey is vital because it tells us about the health of our environment. The annual survey is the country's longest running citizen science project.
