We’re thrilled to announce that the Milford School Colour Run is back for 2025! This year’s event will be held on Friday, 17 October, kicking off from 12.30pm on the Milford School field.

This is our major fundraising event of the year, and every splash of colour helps us raise funds for the recladding of our beloved school hall—a space that brings our tamariki together for assemblies, performances, sports, and celebrations.

Fundraising is online-only this year, and we’ve partnered with Go Raise It to make it super easy. No cash handling, no door knocking—just a few clicks to share your child’s fundraising page with friends and whānau near and far.

Prizes Galore – Get in Early! Students who set up their fundraising pages will be eligible for spot prizes throughout the campaign, as well as top fundraiser awards at the end. The earlier you get started, the more chances to win!

Event Highlights:

• Starts at 12.30pm with Year 0, working up to Year 6.

• The field will transform into a vibrant obstacle course with colour stations.

• Expect a bit of water, a lot of colour, and heaps of fun!

• From 3pm, we’ll wrap up with a family-friendly afternoon— ice-cream van, coffee, and community vibes.

When is it? Friday, 17 October from 12.30pm

Where? Milford School field

What should my child wear? Light-coloured clothing is ideal to show off the colours, but not compulsory. Pack something you don’t mind getting messy!

Will the colour stain? The powder is made from corn starch and natural dyes. It’s not expected to stain, but we recommend wearing clothes that can handle a bit of fun.

Do all kids run at once? Nope! We’ll start with the youngest and finish with the seniors.

Can I set up one fundraising page for multiple children? We understand that some families have more than one child participating in the Colour Run and may prefer to manage fundraising through a single page. However, because we’re running a class competition—with prizes awarded to the top three fundraising classes—each child needs to have their own individual fundraising page linked to their class.

How much of the donations go to the school? A generous 90% of all donations go directly to Milford School. The remaining 10% covers platform costs.
